FAQs

Why not hire a full-time designer?

Full time designers are expensive. Senior-level designers are ~$120k not including benefits. Also, you can't pause a full time designers salary when you don't have work for them. It's for these reasons why a design subscription can serve up so much value.

Who does the designs?

Iconhaus is run by me, Charles Riccardi. Depending on the project, I'll work with 1–2 trusted design partners. I’m always leading the creative direction and staying hands-on, but having a small crew allows us to move quickly and keep the quality high.

How is it working with iconhaus?

It's great. I've been the first designer at companies and have worked with large teams. I span brand/marketing, and product/app design. It's much more efficient than working with an agency, and I build great relationships with my Product + Engineering counterparts.

Why can I pause my subscription?

There isn't always work to be done, so feel free to pause when you run out of things that need design work. Billing is based on 31 days cycles. If you pause on day 25, you would have 6 days of service remaining.

How do I request designs?

Everyone who signs up for iconhaus gets a Trello board. This is where we track all the design requests, progress, and feedback. You can add video talking through your request, link a Google Doc, or add some wireframes you created - just add it to board, and we'll get cookin!

What happens after I subscribe?

You'll send you an email invite to your new Trello board. Here you will have instructions on how to upload your brand assets/materials, start creating design requests, inviting your team, and ways to give feedback on delivered designs.
